Unan II

$425.00

Unan II is a circular support composed of a brass ring and a corresponding textile cushion. Together, they form a resting structure that steadies and frames objects placed on Patungan.

The ring establishes boundary without enclosure; the cushion absorbs contact. The circular form centers what it holds, allowing vessels or shared objects to settle securely while remaining visibly grounded.

Unlike the linear support of Unan I, Unan II introduces containment through geometry rather than pressure. Its shape recalls the logic of repetition and return—forms that gather inward rather than extend outward.

Unan II belongs to salo-salo, where objects are arranged in relation at the center of a table, and to ala-ala, where circular forms echo habits of gathering and rest.

Used alone or in combination with Unan I.

Materials & Construction

Brass ring
Removable textile cushion
Hand-finished components

Variation in textile and patina is inherent to the process.

Use

Place on Patungan or other flat surfaces to cradle bowls, vessels, or objects that benefit from centered support. The textile cushion may be adjusted or replaced over time as part of the object’s continued life.

Availability

Produced in small quantities.
